IECEx
The International Electrotechnical Committee has developed a certification system for standards relating to explosive environments. The purpose of the IECEx scheme is to promote the international trade in electrical appliances for use in explosive environments, by giving manufacturers the opportunity to obtain conformity certificates which are accepted at national level by the countries of the European Union.
