The Belgian BIOTOX Plan was created on the model of the French plan, which was produced in 1999. The official French site of the Ministère de l'Emploi et de la Solidarité - Direction générale de la Santé contains a section on BIOTOX.
In addition to the plan itself, the site features information about a number of infectious diseases, toxins and relevant medical conditions, and care procedures for treating exposed persons. The procedures are devised by the AFSSAPS ("Agence Française de Sécurité Sanitaire des Produits de Santé"). The French government site also includes important French and Canadian links.
