The International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS)

This association was established in 1985 by professionals in order to share information about the effects of trauma.
The association issues the academic publication Journal of Traumatic Stress, whose table of contents can be found on the website. They also publish the newsletter Traumatic StressPoints Newsletter, all of whose back-issues can be consulted on the site. For the general public, the association publishes pamphlets about its work, what traumatic stress is, what a sudden traumatic loss is, indirect trauma (for care workers who are confronted with trauma), children and trauma, and natural disasters and trauma. The texts are reproduced in full on the site, or alternatively the brochures can be ordered (in return for payment).
A conference is also organised every year.
The site also features a list of interesting links and sources.
