The website of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce doesn’t appear too user-friendly at first sight. However a number of interesting documents can be found here or purchased on-line. Under the heading 'für Unternehmer', you can for example find an on-line guide to EC labelling. Anyone looking for downloadable hazard symbols for dangerous products can go to the heading 'Publikationen', to request on-line documents from an alphabetical list. The danger symbols are available in TIF-format, with or without captions. In the same section but under 'CD-ROMs', there is a reference to an interactive CD-ROM for employees in the wood industry. The CD-ROM (available for purchase) gives particular support for wood sector entrepreneurs in terms of their obligation to instruct their employees at least once a year with regard to hazards, physical workload and measures. Using simple examples, the user’s attention is brought to the dangers of working with wood and on the right preventive measures to apply. This CD-ROM won a prize at the 5th Film and Multimedia Festival during the 16th World Congress for Safety and Health at Work (May 2002).
There is also a brochure and diskette available relating to HACCP (click on 'publikazionen' then 'broschüren' and then enter 'HACCP' in the field to get the reference to this product).
