De Landelijke Coördinatiestructuur Infectiebestrijding (LCI)

Nursing staff are regularly involved in the setting up of action plans or guidelines to be used as supports to help withstand incidents having a large impact and occupying a short space of time, in a professional way.
A number of action plans and technical healthcare protocols can be found on the site. The LCI is a collaboration of existing institutions and organisations and is primarily aimed at the refining and regularisation of the practical execution of the fight against infectious diseases.
Some examples of action plans: gastro-enteride epidemics in institutions; hygiene initiatives in crèches; info-pack on infectious diseases and hygiene in crèches; health risks among students; injection accidents; scabies in (nursing) institutions; info-pack on infectious diseases and hygiene for schools.
The technical health care protocols are intended to assist the provision of technical health care to those institutions in which risks of colonisation and transmission of micro-organisms is present. The risk profiles can be used as instruments for the weighing up of risk factors according to provision type. The pressure points of an individual institution can be analysed using checklists. Some examples of risk profiles and checklists: ambulance service risk profile; major event technical hygiene care checklist; institution kitchen risk profile; risk profile and health initiatives in crèches; laundry checklist; checklist for nursing and care homes; sandpit checklist; risk profile for swimming conditions and saunas.
