The site of the Ministry for Economic Affairs offers a great deal of information for a wide audience. In terms of occupational safety and health, two sections of the site are particularly interesting: the company guide and the consumer protection section. In the company guide section you can consult on-line an Enterprise Handbook, in which all regulation relating to the setting up of a business is summarised; It deals with occupational safety and health among other things. Also contained within the company guide section are legal prescriptions relating to the social dialogue and works councils. The consumer protection section deals with the safety of products, installations, and services. Regulatory prescriptions dealing with (safe) toys and the setting up of play areas can be found here. Lastly, also of interest is the Information Society heading, in which an internet-based law observatory can be found, along with information dealing with electronic commerce, explanation of intellectual property.
