The website was established in 1997 as an independent source of information on the possible health and safety issues arising from human exposure to electromagnetic energy. This consists of both 50 and 60 Hertz (Hz) electromagnetic fields from our use of electricity and radio-frequency/microwave electromagnetic radiation from telecommunications.
