| | World Health Organization (WHO) - International EMF Project
The international EMF Project was set up by the World Health Organization in 1996. For this project, electromagnetic waves were defined as electromagnetic fields with frequencies between 0 and 300 GHz. In collaboration with other international agencies and organisations, the World Health Organization intends to gather resources and knowledge about exposure to EMF, to attempt to fill gaps in general knowledge about this subject, to start specific research programmes for conducting better risk analyses into health effects, to survey the literature on the subject on a regular basis and to work towards an international consensus on health issues. The site contains information about the project’s organisational structure, current and future activities, results of scientific meetings, current and future scientific meetings and related events, and publications. Press releases and factsheets are available in both English (the official language) and other languages, including French and Dutch.
