The National Institute for Insurance against Accidents at Work has two objectives: to reduce the number of accidents at work, and to create a form of umbrella organisation relating to occupational hazards. The institute also seeks to investigate the consequences of accidents on the workfloor, both in physical terms for the victim, and in terms of the impact at the economic, social and family levels. The institute also seeks to provide information about this subject. The table of contents of the journal Rivista degli Infortuni delle malattie professionali is available online, together with some articles.
