The Institute for Work & Health (originally called the Ontario Workers' Compensation Institute), established by the Ontario Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB), is an independent non-commercial organisation whose mission is to research into and promote new ways of preventing work invalidity, improving responses to it and ensuring that employees effect an optimal recovery and return to the workplace. An evaluation tool has been developed to measure damage to the arm, shoulder and hand: DASH.
