The Japan International Center for Occupational Safety and Health explains the organisation of safety and health in Japan, the relevant laws and regulations in Japan, as well as guidelines and statistics for traffic accidents, fatal workplace accidents, occupational diseases etc. Particularly of interest are the numerous (and illustrated) cases of workplace accidents in industry and workplace accidents related to building machinery and fork-lift trucks. Examples are also given of near-accidents. These articles are intended for use as training supports. Details are either given on how an accident happened, or a first indication is given and the visitor is asked where the danger in the situation lies. In the latter case, the story is altered from what happened in reality. Lastly, remarks and details on a few prevention measures are included.
